good evening all,

if so how? or do they need to be timetabled?

The shunt moves option creates random shunts, normally from one entry point to another. The moves you require need to be timetabled as they are formed off of an inward working and when they come out need to for a next working. The shunt move option could create random moves from the depit to the station and back again

They should be timetabled - shunt moves is for “random” movements that say, pop in/out a headshunt.

They’re not timetabled in the strict sense; but they are regular and in connection with certain other; timetabled workings. For SimSig purposes they need to be timetabled - even if it’s a rough/best guess schedule.

Unit and/or Crew diagrams will often have nominal times for such workings.
