I've noticed that the timetable for 3MB7 appears to have it "looped" at Harden, for passenger train ST22 to pass, since the former has a half-hour wait there, during which the latter is booked to stop at Harden. However, the goods loop at Harden is much too short for 3MB7 to fit. In the event the freight train is particularly early so I'm hoping it'll reach the next loopable point by the time the passenger catches up, but I'm wondering what the intention with the timetable is here? Was the loop perhaps lengthened at some point, or is the train maybe shorter in real life than in the timetable?

Another possibility might be using the bi-directional stretch of Down line for overtaking, since that's approximately 3.1 km long. But in that case the timetable of 3MB7 still needs to be adjusted so that this manoeuvre works in Simsig as well.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

As Jan said I used the Down main as the passing loop, This maybe what happens in real life. I'm sure someone here can set us straight on this.

A lot of the passes that happen in this sim are meant to occur on the mainline. i.e 3MB& sits on the up main while ST22 passes on the down. Another location this happens a lot in reality is Yass. The platform on the Dn main is the only platform used for passenger services both Up & Dn so if they need to pass another service it will sit on the up whilst the pass run passed on the down.
I intend to live forever. So far so good
