Reading is an essential hub for the First Great Western/Great Western Railway mainline, Its complicated line management and platforms that can be used for two different trains at once could provide a difficult and fun challenge.

If a simulation for the 4 main lines in and out of the station, 2 relief lines in and out of the station and the 15 platforms (7 through to 15 are split into "a" and "b" ) could be simulated, it would truly be a great feat.

There is an in development simulation for reading panel already happening but without any set release date. It covers several eras but I'm not sure if the current revised layout is one.

There has been a Reading in development ever since the first release of Westbury. So that must be more as 15 years ago? It was originally build by Mike.

It was James N who showed a couple of screenshots last year. It was confirmed along with both Slough boxes

Not both Slough boxes, only the Panel. That’s not to say I wouldn’t like to do the IECC one day - and indeed I have most if not all the required information to do it - I just need to finish what I’m doing at present before considering and commiting to other projects.

Balancing running the real railway and writing SimSig sims is challenging - there are certainly days when I get home and the last thing I want to do is anything railway related. But Reading is slowly progressing forward. An awful lot of research has gone into making the sim as authentic and detailed as possible, so I hope the wait will be worth it.

I was training Reading last year, but i'm now on the Bristol Temple Meads desk. Very interesting location and I quite enjoy working it - so I vote for Temple Meads :-)

There's already a Bristol sim for the PSB — it's an exe sim though, so it's pretty old, and it has a couple of not insignificant bugs (though these can be worked around). It's still fun to play!

A developer with the time and the will (and presumably the consent of the original developer) to do it.

There's no point discussing the what if's and maybes.

Further discussion in this thread should be concentrated on the reading simulation.

Foreshadowing has increased with the release of Slough PSB.
