Hi all, I was wandering if it is possible to have an estimated time of arrival on the timetable when it is running late. It would be a helpful feature (as I'm currently playing the Kings Cross sim, which has plenty of trains). Just having the ETA next to the timetabled arrival/departure time would do, a bit like Realtime Trains etc.. Michael (MJDM) MJDM Log in to reply |

I believe that the Simplifier on F8 tells you how late the train is and you should be able to work out the ETA yourself. Kev Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Ar88 |

It just shows the scheduled arrival/departure times and the delay at the last timing point, same as you're also seeing in the timetable popup. On ARS sims it used to be the case that the timetable popup would show the live delay as calculated by ARS, but that changed at some point and now it's only showing the delay at the last timing point same as on non-ARS sims. The live delay still drives the colourised train describer if you've enabled it, though. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

Now what would be really interesting would be an indication as to how the train is doing compared to how much it was delayed when it entered the SIM. I like to run my SIM's with the failures cranked up and if this information was available on the show timetable box I would be able to judge how much time I had saved or lost based on the entry condition as the train goes through it's route. Not sure if this is something that could be added but I for one would appreciate it if possible. Thanks. Log in to reply |
