After noticing that for stopping trains diverted to the Down Suburban, their timetable jumps forward to Summer Hill after departing Stanmore, I've investigated a little more and it seems that contrary to the depiction in Simsig, Lewisham doesn't actually has a platform face on the Down Suburban.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

There is a platform face there, it's just fenced off. To be honest I've never really looked into why. edit: that's a messy photo because it was taken after the Burwood to Newtown section was decomissioned. They took some tiles labelled '1st Approaching' and 'Last Sent' and moved them to Burwood. If it's fenced off and therefore OOU, should it be marked as such on the sim and stopping trains phone wrong route?

Quote: and stopping trains phone wrong route? Trains are already on the wrong line when they enter from Sydney's area of control, so there's not much point in them phoning in a wrong route again, when you can't do anything about it anyway. Nothing normally booked to travel on the down suburban stops anywhere prior to Ashfield. If you ring up Sydney Box and ask them to divert, the all-stations trains normally booked on the down local should appear on the suburban with a changed stopping pattern of Stanmore, Summer Hill, Ashfield, then as tabled. If anything is trying to stop at Lewisham on the down sub please let us know. Log in to reply |

No, that part is working fine. It's just the platform labelling that might need adjusting.
