Owing to having a train in Newbury Pfm.2 delayed waiting a replacement driver, I decided to stop 3A27 (1985 TT) on the Up Westbury for the loco to detach, shunt to Pfm.3, attach 5A27 vans and then rejoin his train on the Up Westbury before going forward to Reading. All went well until I tried to set a route from R491 GPL Sig for the loco and vans to set back onto its train on the Up Westbury. The route failed to call and I got a message stating "Subroute locked in opposite direction". It is possible to set a route R491 - R492 with the Up Westbury TC through the station clear, is it genuinely not possible to set a route with the TC occupied? Should the subroute remain locked or is it a bug? Regards, Phil. Log in to reply |

This seems like a highly unusual move (in which case, key the points and talk the driver past), although can confirm that the route does not call in described situation (hence if it's a bug, it's not a one off - though my personal guess would be the interlocking simply not allowing the move...).

I did key the points 'Normal' and talk him by 491.

So the first issue is it's numbered incorrectly in the sim - it should be R488 per attached diagram. I'll have a look through the control tables later this evening. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

So to confirm - the route from R488 (sim R491) to R492 requires either track PB (sim NCD) clear; or PB occupied for 90 seconds following a route being set to R863 - in other words the subroute under the train should drop out after 90 seconds. Mantis 22186 for the subroute not dropping out. Mantis 22187 for the signal mis-numbered. Last edited: 11/11/2018 at 17:26 by headshot119 Reason: None given Log in to reply |
