Hi all,

Received the following Access Violation after the restart of a of a saved simulation.

The simulation was Derby which was started paused so I could arrange the windows how I prefer them.

I tried to move a Sticky Note and got the following :-

"Internal Error: Exception in PaintBoxMouseDown (EAccessViolation: Access Violation at address 004257CC in module "Simsig Loader.exe". Read of address 61262054"

Image attached.

When the AV window was dismissed all continued normally. I was unable to recreate it after a second and third restart with the same .ssg file.

Loader Version 4.8.2. Windows 10 Pro.

Given it displays the PaintBoxMouseDown function, it looks related to handling mouse clicks. Does it make any difference where exactly you click - on the text of the note, on the boundary of the note, on a TT link in the note (if any)?

Mantis 22259.

As Albert says, it's probably related to the exact place you clicked.

What I find odd is that the read "address" is the string "T &a".

Apart from the Violation, I do use Sticky Notes a lot for some sims as many would. For the sim I'm using I use a few to remind me of issues/bugs and train dep times etc. Although each time I use one the sim flickers a bit like when you right click on the sim screen and click 'stay on top' it flickers in my case. But I've never had the issue on violation sticky notes.

Unfortunately that address isn't in the SimSig code itself and doesn't show up when I decompile.

Do you still have the log file? There should be a list of hexadecimal numbers in it immediately after the report.
