Hi all,

What areas of the LTS sim are NOT electrified? There is nothing in the manual nor displayed on the sim...

Thanks
Michael

As far as I recall (correct me if I'm wrong):

All passenger lines are electric, EXCEPT Barking Platform 1. [The GOBLIN electrification program has changed this, but won't be on the sim]
BUT electric services can go to Liverpool Street via Barking Station Junction and Woodgrange Park Junction.
Electrics can also access Stratford, Ilford and GEML via Bow Junction.

None of the Ripple Lane area is electric (apart from thru passenger lines) and nor are any of the freight areas, except for the Exchange Sidings and CTRL connection. Not sure about Up Ford/Hanson.

Hope that helps (a bit).

Thanks
Jamie

Thanks Jamie,

From experience, I've tried a Class 90 (electric) into Seabrook Sidings and it was happy to take that route. However, I've tried to get one into the Thames Haven branch and that didn't go well! Obviously not electrified in the sim.

I have run a few test electric locos from the various freight terminals and have the following results...

1.Ripple Lane Freightliner Non - electrified
2.Ripple Lane West Yard Electrified
3.Dagenham Dock (Ford/Hanson) Non - electrified
4.Purfleet Yard Electrified
5.Seabrook Sidings Electrified
6.Riverside Sidings Electrified
7.Thames Haven/London Gateway Non - electrified

i.e. I ran an electric loco from 1,3 and 7 and there was no traction available, indicating no overhead line.
I also ran an electric loco from 4,5 and 6 and they emerged with no issue.

Also on the subject. I had a previous post about getting train from the CTRL and there were no routes available in the timetable for the train to follow and as a result, the train couln't enter. However, if you run from Ripple Lane Exchange Sidings pathed via the DRS to the CTRL, it will accept the route.

Looks like 808-806-804 is electrified, with the Down and sorting not electrified. I happened to be travelling along Renwick Road a few weeks ago and took some pictures however the light was not great.

Attached you can see Renwick Road Jn and Through Siding (UR620, UR1138); Down Main/Stora (with UR1130), and the Exhange Headshunt and the back of UR810 - behind which there appears to be a diamond junction not on Simsig?

Thanks for that Jamie. Maybe an update may be necessary to correct these issues?

I will also need to take a trip down there to see for myself and to fully understand this area :-D
