I have now uploaded this timetable (pending moderator approval).

please use this thread to post any issues or queries. This timetable will require the latest Sim version (1.2)

Timetable notes:

Stockport Spring 1992 Weekdays - MSX

This timetable has been compiled using WTT section CE September 1991 - May 1992 (Reissued).

I have also used the Station Working books for Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield 1992-93, a Station Working book for Euston 1990-1991 and the Northwest and North Wales Trip notice dated May 1992.

The timetable covers the period from Jan 1992- May 1992. the Line from Altrincham to Cornbrook Junction has now closed and EMU's turnback at Cornbrook, running as far as Deansgate.

Services are a mixture of Loco Hauled XC and WC services, local EMU services worked by Longsight based 304 and 305 units, and a Mixture of 1st and 2nd Gen DMU's on both local and long distance services. there is also a regular service from the Northwest to Stockport which uses the bay platform throughout the day. There are a number of overnight Staff workings between Guide Bridge and Manchester Piccadilly which also use the bay to reverse.

Freight is sparse in this era but consists primarily of Freightliners for Trafford park, Stone from Peak forest to Bletchley, and an Ordsall Lane - Park Royal service Delivering Guiness.

There is an Engineers Trip working and an Inspection Saloon also included for Variety.

I would advise to always check what line a train is booked on before routing. a number of trains are booked to change lines at stockport and a couple also run fast from Adswood road before changing lines at Edgeley! I would also suggest not to pull off too early for trains from stockport as there are a number of tight movements that require trains routed in the correct order. There are several timetable clashes that have been intentionally left in to provide some interest, however none of these are job stoppers.

Multiple Units are described using their allocated depot followed by the number of Cars and class. for example (NH 2/150) indicates a Newton Heath 2 Car 150.

Loco Hauled trains give the loco's allocated depot and class followed by the stock in use.

Historical note: At this time Stockport also had two centre sidings (slum sidings) between the up and down fast and Platform 0 was the Up Main loop. these ommisions have no negative impact on the timetable but Platform 0 shouldnt be used for passenger trains at all. At this time the permissive working was used a bit more freely than today. feel free to signal a train detained outside the station permissively behind another train where the front train is on the move departing from Stockport. the interlocking will allow this.

This Timetable will also be chainable with a Peak District Spring 1992 timetable as and when it is finished (and the sims become chainable) and also possibly Manchester East and the Cheshire Lines (should it be produced!).

Firstly thank you for creating a heritage TT for Stockport.

I'm up to 0147hrs and the only issue so far is 2H21 and 2H23 Guide Bridge - Man Picc staff trains do not step up their locations. Both were still showing Denton Jn as next location after passing Heaton Norris Jn on the way into Stockport. I had to manually step their next location to Stockport and they worked fine after that.

Regards,

Phil.

Hi Phil. This was a known sim issue among a few others. I thought it had been resolved with the latest update. Hopefully James will pick up on this. For now any trains that stop at Denton (I think there's only two or three) will need a manual step.

I had thought I'd got this fixed in the previous update, but looking at the data, it will be in the next update.

It seems to fail to step only if Reddish South is not in the timetabled path. 2H25 which DOES have that station stop steps correctly.

I have submitted V1.1 for approval.

this fixes all general issues found so far. I have also added a few missing trains, amended depot codes where required and added full stock details and pool codes.
