Prompted by Bellybuster's very generous offer of a lucky dip draw for three copies of the W Yorks sim. Would this sort of offer be more easily handled if it was set up using a similar process to that used for signing up for a meet? The user just clicks on a link to register for the draw rather than making a posting on the Forum. The person making the offer would be in a similar role to the organiser for an event and would be able to get the data for the draw from the "organiser's summary" rather than having to transcribe a thousand and one handles from forum postings into the mechanism used for making the draw. The entrants could add their thanks in the "event discussion" section of the entry page but the data for the draw would come directly from the summary. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 26/03/2019 at 14:34 by postal Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Hap |

Makes sense to be fair. Sounds like a good idea. Craig How to report an issue: www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:reportanissue Log in to reply |

Doesn't address the point at hand but I do intend to extract the relevant data (ie usernames) from the database to ensure everybody that posted gets onto the list. The event idea is worth exploring actually. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following users said thank you: JamesN, postal, Trainfan344, Hap |
