On the 0400 start
0S2C, 0SP3, 0SP4, 0SP7 all seed into their platforms that the services start from, however the TT shows that they each have a shunt move from either P1 or TL to the platform in which they have been seeded into (and have activities to carry out). From looking at theses services in the 0000 start, they all originate from the holding sidings with a move through (or reverse in) either P1 of the TL.
Am I right in guessing that the entry location has been changed to the correct seeding location, but the timetables weren't stepped up, rather than each of these seeds need to shunt out of Sheffield, to reverse and shunt back into the same platform?

Cheers. For anyone else playing this TT, Be aware that once 0SP3 and 0SP4 seed, they will say they are at a buffer stop, they will need manually reversing, or better, step the TT up to the second instance of Sheffield station in their TT

User Error at my end - forgot to strip the earlier routes out - it should also cure the buffer stop issue as well - will be available in TT update in next couple of days

Problem with a shunt move from the holding sidings - 0S1B (E54046) enters to form 2P01. I had a delayed train in 1A, so ran it on the Through Line and held it at S113. However, despite it being on the through line, it stepped up to its next working. ACI didn't notice this, so I moved it into 1B and rather than getting a TRTS I recieve messages/phone calls that 2P01 is being held at S126.

I suspect because it as headed as a '0' the sim sees it as a loco movement and thus doesn't need to be on a platform - and so steps it up to its next working even though it becomes a passenger service.

Only a minor issue, but could catch people out especially as the ACI doesn't realise whats happening either!

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

Yes, because Network Rail refer to all platforms and through roads in Sheffield station as one location. The need to not halt anything on the through if it is to be platformed is mentioned in the manual.

Ah, I read that but thought it only applied where trains were routed through 1A with a stop. Thanks for clearing it up!

Having watched hours of moves It appears that the preferred route into 1B is via the TL (TLA in sim).

I even did that route this morning myself, with 1A empty

Good morning everyone. Thanks for all the hard work that has gone into the new sims and their timetables.

I'm running the Jan 2019 Sheffield timetable, 0400 start. The 6E48 Bardon Hill to Tinsley is described as, and has a train type of, 4-car Class 158.

I would have expected this train to look more like this.

Unsure if this is a sim issue or a TT issue, but I'm having issues with Barrow Hill area shunts.

0Z20 and 0M38 are booked to head to Tapton Jct after entering at the Roundhouse. Both are booked to sit on the Down Goods, reverse at BH North Jct and their next locations are BH South Jct > Tapton Jct. However, both are entering, heading right down the DGL to S1002 and reversing there. They then travel all the way to S247 and then attempt to reverse there without a signal rather than proceeding onto the main line.

At around the same time, 0Z86 arrives from the north and is booked into the roundhouse via a shunt at the south junction. I held it at S236 to allow another movement by, but on setting the route to the LOS on the down line, it simply sits there awaiting right away. It shows as facing down so evidently has reversed there rather than behind the limit of shunt. With a manual reverse it will go where it should be going, but again needs a manual reversal else it will sit at 1004/LOS.

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

The Roundhouse exits via North needed S1020 on the DM which have already been corrected in the next release of the TT

I believe 2N00 should have the passing time ticked at Holmes Jn.

I suspect the same for 4O90 at Swinton.

Just had a quick look at the data

2N00 booked 0645 0646 Holmes Jcn for pathing allowing 1V44 to clear
4O90/4O54 both booked 0652 0659 Swinton for pathing allowing 1O82 to get through first

Good spot though

As a general rule, I think that pathing stops should have the passing time ticked. Otherwise, the train will stop even if it is late.

This also applies to 6E65 at Signal S81 and 0D80 at Conisborough UGL.

Thanks again for the timetable. Really enjoying it.

Does the creation of this timetable pre-date the introduction of the Crew Change feature? I notice there are plenty of 2/3 minute stops for freights (I'm thinking Masborough and Swinton in particular) that the NR WTT shows as crew changes, but aren't marked as such in Simsig.

This is a new dataset and theres many hours of work still to go into it - I will at sim level add the Crew Changes in as and when I update the dataset

I would like to clarify that John means "many hours for other areas", not for Sheffield! The TT datasets we use cover the whole country, not just one simulation at a time. Good spot on the crew changes - not sure why they didn't come across.

0000 start. Surely 5B39 mis-timed as 0118 and s/b 0018?

Not mistimed at all it should actually be later than that - but the time was set there for a chain of rules that dictate when the others move across

1Y10 09:17 Notts - leeds is formed in two parts UID Y50771 and Y50771A. is this service booked to be changed or was this an adhoc unit swap on the day?

It was an adhoc swap on the day, notes have been already added to the schedules for next TT update.

The inbound shunts to HS where it forms part of VSTP 5G85

I'll raise this here although it may be the sim. 2Bxx's from Huddersfield to sheff are loosing 2 mins between Penistone and Silkstone Common. not a major problem as they regain it elsewhere but I am wondering if there's an issue somewhere.
