It appears that the site SSL cert expired yesterday.

Had a hard time myself gaining access to SimSig. I pressed ignored and faced the risk of attending a website. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Aaron (AJRO) | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |

The incorrect SSL certificate causes some icons and the shoutbox not to render in Chrome. Oops!

The certificate is for staging.SimSig.co.uk, and it was issued today. Apparently it accidentally got onto the main site when a server admin tried to secure the staging domain with https this morning.

It was issued by Let's Encrypt at 7AM GMT (8AM BST) this morning. As this domain is obviously owned by the SimSig team as well, I don't really object to adding an exception. Be careful though that you do not add exceptions for certificates of domains outside SimSig. AJP in games Log in to reply |

The team are aware of the issue and are working to deal with it.

I added an exception and Kaspersky went away quite happy! Hope all goes well adding the new certificate. Log in to reply |

I went to bed last night and all was fine. I wake up this morning to find a bunch of messages. For some reason IIS had decided to change the certificate used to one that was wholly inappropriate. Restored back to the correct certificate (which had NOT expired) and all is fine again. Very mysterious. Sorry for the inconvenience.
