Anyone know why I cannot set a route from Signal 323 to Signal 425 but you can set a route from Signal 643 to Signal 425? Signal 323 is a main aspect signal while Signal 643 is a shunt signal. Example I have 4C42 which I routed to Signal 323 as I was under the impression that the route I needed was a main aspect signal to the next main aspect signal but this isn't so, can anyone explain why? Probably because the West panel hasn't given the slot.

You'd be best having a look in the manual. There is a link to a video tutorial. Quote: Signal 323 J,K,L Routes; Signal 639 J,K,L Routes (both to signals 425, 455 and Riverside respectively); Signal 645 C Route (to signal 425). These routes start on Taff panel, cross into West panel before crossing back to Taff panel. All require a slot to be granted by West workstation to allow the route to be set. The slot displays red when not granted, flashing white when given, and solid white when the slot is currently in use. The slot is one shot only, and is only used for the routes listed above. Once granted, the route may be set simply by clicking from signal to signal in the usual way, i.e. without using the cross-panel buttons. The useful bit of information for granting the slot is in the West panel instructions: Quote: Slot on 323,J,K,L 639,J,K,L, 645,C releases certain routes on the Taff workstation which cross the West workstation between the "C" and "B" divides. The slot is granted by left clicking the F roundel. Right clicking the F roundel will restore the slot if it is not in use, or it has been used. Log in to reply |
