As we get closer to the November meet there will no doubt be a lot of speculation around the simulation or simulations which will be in use. Please could I ask that any such speculation is confined to this thread, and not the general meet thread.

I am registered for the meet but may have to cancel. However for the sake of joining in I will go with Crewe as a possibility but also perhaps Stourbridge (covering - I would hope - Jewellery Quarter to Kidderminster, thereby chaining to the New Street and Saltley sims) and Walsall (in light of the fairly recent Staffordshire release which, along with New Street, would chain to Walsall thereby filling a gap).

On the other hand perhaps another glimpse of Three Bridges with perhaps at least some of the additional information - see post on https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/50035 - and new era. Who knows? Not I.

I tend not to speculate on things, but since I am attending this event I am going to weigh in and narrow it down to an area on the planet Earth. Which within itself is really exciting as I'm not best versed with other signalling systems out with this planet. Phew.

I would hope to see more information being released on Three Bridges, news on Preston would also be welcomed but I think as the March meet-up was revealing West Yorkshire, Sheffield ROC and Sandhills I would presume that we would see least one soon to be released sim at the London meet with the potential of a beta of a in development sim being showed off.

Seconded.

My very first simulation was of the Doncaster area, an region of the country that I know quite well, but it was from the now non-existant Signalling Centre.
I might add that the realism of that particular software was, in my opinion, nowwhere near to that of SimSig.
It was nevertheless, still quite fun.

Thirded. Doncaster would be great in order to complete the ECML.

Thats a shame, I hear that any sim which isn't included in this is out of this world

Are we talking about the Isle of Wight here? Or am I missing something?

Yes. As of Sept 19 they've reduced the service to a single unit shuttling up and down due to maintenance issues.

Still hoping for Preston and Warrington to be released - Crewe (ideally area rather than just the station PSB for me) or Glasgow would be a nice surprise too.

I’m sure there was a version of Glasgow Central built but we’re talking years ago!

Crewe would be nice as would Chester but purely for bias reasons I’m looking forward to Preston once it’s ready.

What area would Crewe to Warrington via Wigan North Western come under tho?

Doncaster be good but how about a infill sim connecting Tyneside and Edinburgh?

Wigan NW comes under Warrington PSB, which then controls south to Winsford. Crewe still has a number of small boxes controlling a lot of the freight lines and yards hence I'd like to see more than just Crewe PSB which only looks after the station and Alsager line up to Kidsgrove; most of the freight around the area would therefore not appear in a PSB-only sim as it bypasses the station under the control of various smaller boxes.

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

To clarify, the fringe between Warrington and Winsford is halfway between Acton Grange Jn and Weaver Jn.

The signal prefix at Wigan North Western is WN which suggests Warrington. Am not referring to Warrington Central here which, I believe, has its own box whose signals are prefixed WC.

According to Quail, WN (Warrington PSB) takes over from WD (Winsford) at Preston Brook Tunnel (176m04-07c) and then hands over to PN (Preston) at Coppull Hall HABDs (10m60c).
