Thanks for doing this. One minor query, Class 91s have their top speed listed in the sheet as 125 instead of 140mph. For completeness, they're restricted to 110mph when travelling blunt end first (pantograph issues). In Zone 6, no one can hear you scream... Log in to reply |

I thought the 110mph limit was due to air being drawn through the gap before the coaches causing rocking? That's the same reason why 90s don't run at 125. Pantograph issues doesn't make sense as they run backwards anyway all day. How often do you see dung beetles running blunt end first? Not very often I'd say. Between 997 & 2001 whenever I was asked to dispatch a diesel to assist one they were dragged DIT even when they terminated the train en route somewhere they never bothered turning the loco round. The diesel always took the stock to one of there depots.
