I've noticed recently that often a pair of adjacent signals fail one after another. I don't remember this particularly happening in the past, so I was wondering if it's a change in behaviour in a recent loader version? Has anyone else noticed this? Mike Log in to reply |

If you're meaning that one signal fails, then the one immediately in front of it then eventually fails too. Then it's happening over a few sims. It's already logged on mantis. #27023 (Albeit for a different sim, but can reproduce it on several others too) How to report an issue: www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:reportanissue Last edited: 28/02/2020 at 12:13 by Hap Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Always fun when it happens. I think I had an instance in Motherwell sim where a signal failed, the preceding signal held at danger then failed, and then that one preceding that then also lost red proving! 😖

incidentally, was it two automatic signals?

I believe it was in the cases I can recall (on Carlisle and Rugby Centre sims). This also happened in West Anglia when I was hosting last night but I don't know exactly which signals failed then.

It's a core code issue and therefore could happen on any sim.

Unless real world interlockings also cycle the aspect of signal in rear of a failed signal until they go pop as well, which is what supposedly happened here - I think there's another topic on this from a while ago, here: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/PostView/121066 Wouldn't surprise me if a few specific failure modes would cause something that looked similar, though. Don't think I've ever seen such a thing in real life.
