I have no idea what sims might be coming round this time. Will it involve RETB? Or maybe the missing part at the other end, i.e. Cornwall?

Perhaps someone in the know might suggest which Quail I should bring with me?

Thanks
Jamie

Could be anything, but that's part of the fun!

Cornwall, or something less hectic than a busy London-area sim would be nice (but that's the mood I'm in tonight).

I'll say what I always say: GEML would be great - I always feel East Anglia is a bit missed out (as incorrect as that may be).

Well I see a few possible items that may or may not happen and is purely wishful thinking on my part!

Already public:

Edinburgh BUT converted to loader with two eras eg Pre 2010 and post 2010
Central Scotland but with the OHL reflecting the limits as it is in real life
Horsham updated so chains with Three Bridges
Southampton re-released but covering the existing Eastleigh ASC area
Cambridge but converted to loader with two eras eg Pre 2018 and post 2018
Peterborough but converted to loader with the existing two eras but also with a third era for 2014 with the new layout.

Future releases eg may or may not be in development

Crewe
Blackpool Branches
North London Line
West Wales
Colchester
Doncaster

I now await to see what actually might be on show and see just how wrong or right I was..

Doncaster would be a good one as that would chain to Peterborough. It is also one I hope will be done one of these days. Crewe would be good. As for the Blackpool branches I would imagine that, if that was in development, it might come out at the same time as Preston to which I think the fringe box was Salwick.

Colchester ASC would be good - that is another one I have been hoping for. Southampton re-released to cover all of Eastleigh ASC would be great and would allow another sim for chaining to Salisbury. But then again so would Basingstoke ASC (Salisbury to Exeter) of which I once did a non-functioning mockup: I still have the BMP file for it.

OOI what are the differences in layout between the current Peterborough sim and the post-2014 layout in use now?

For my guess I would hope to see Walsall and / or Stourbridge Jcn but I will be happy with whatever turns up. I am yet to establish how long a trip I will make of it (a long weekend, to allow for photos at Clacton and other places, may be a consideration) but I will await the weather forecast before deciding.

There's Norway that will happen unless someone has the gen for it. Would be fun though.

The differences for Peterborough is:

Flyash Loop lifted and replaced with Platforms 6/7
Platform 1 lifted and not replaced/filled in
Platform 2 now Platform 1
Platform 3 now Platform 2
Platform 3 is a new platform
Plus I'm sure they remodelled the route to March
Also current Platforms 1/2 now lenghtened with Platform 1 being extended over the old junction into the former Platform 1
Also junction to the Flyash Loop got plain lined too.

So quite a lot you see when it got remodelled which I believe is enough for it to be considered as a era in it's own right.

As to Doncaster not only would it chain to York but also to Leeds, South Humberside, Peterborough, Sheffield and Worksop as well as Hull if that was ever considered.

Colchester I would like to see as I would like to see the GEML extended to the same distance as the WAML which has been done even if only to Shenfield.

But if it came to Blackpool or Preston, my wallet would be on Preston as that's the one sim more then anything I would like to see.

Thanks for the information Ajax. As for Doncaster I hadn't realised that a sim of that PSB would chain to so much! In fact it would probably be the biggest chain in SimSig. We should also not forget that Doncaster would also chain to York on the line to Joan Croft & Shaftholme Junctions. Therefore if we used KX, Peterborough, Sheffield, Leeds and York and we had one player for each workstation then that would make for a 25 player chain (KX: 5, PB: 5, Sheffield: 8, Leeds: 4, York: 3). As a point though I wonder why else there might be a PBO meet. Perhaps Doncaster (or a playable preview thereof) might emerge?

Who knows? I don't and I will wait and see.

Doncaster would be big enough on it's own and I think judging by the area covered that it would be similar in difficulty to Three Bridges and London Bridge combined!

As to the meet being in Peterborough, remember Sheffield, Sandhills and West Yorkshire were debuted at the Birmingham meet in 2018 and those areas are nowhere near Birmingham otherwise one might have expected a Walsall sim to see the light...

If we're lucky to see a new sim great but then again we might just see a existing sim updated then again there might be nothing to show off, whatever it is I look forward to seeing as many people as possible who have joined my sessions then, now and forever

Beyond coincidence, the geographical location of meets has nothing to do with any new sims or previews. most likely choice of location as Pbro is that its very accessible by rail, and is on the east coast of the UK where the previous meet was on the west. varying the location makes it fairer for everyone.

Maybe.....there won't be anything new and everyone can just enjoy meeting up, having a social and running an existing set of sims.

But then I may be wrong, but I know I've only done one TT thats on your list (yet) ;)

But then I only write TT's could feature something I wrote a couple of years back.

Nope, it's still on my list, unfortunately getting the various token sections correct is quite difficult, and until I'm happy with it I'm not willing to release it.

Thanks for the confirmation, glad you are so thorough, spent last week in West and South Wales visiting all the lines in South and West wales except Aberdare, Central Wales, the Marches line and Penarth, rekindled my interest in West Wales.

Keep up the good work.

Thames valley would be nice but what would be really nice would be to see simulations that have had tweaks done to them because of mantis fixes with promises in the forum of it being reissued with the fixes at he next issue actually being reissued. I can’t remember when the loader showed the red updates actually showing that some were available.

Indeed anything could be shown off at the meet, maybe we should have a betting book open?

I'm going to guess for Dili Middle Box, East Timor. Possibly the north box but that may be a guess too far.

Great layout, but where are the signals?

Agreed, though to be fair many of the issues I've found are related to timetabling outside the original 2015 "core" timetable design parameter, albeit using supplied "era" layouts.

Those I've found to have issues with supplied eras and documented same via the forum:
Oxford; Manchester Piccadilly, Hunts Cross; Stockport
