How the heck do you clear LW42 at Glyne? Can't seem to find any valid routes from this signal.

Use the 'Beddingham Non-Stop' or 'Beddingham Stop' controls located on Berwick's panel, depending on whether or not the approaching train stops at Glynde. The controls activate different strike-in points (which start the lowering sequence) for Beddingham AHB. A closer strike-in point is used for stopping trains, under the protection of LW42, to avoid excessive delay to road users. For non-stop trains, the strike-in point is further away, as they'll be approaching the crossing at line speed. Similar controls exist at Normans Bay for Pevensey Sluice AHB. As a possible 'interesting side note' the signalman at Berwick was responsible for the stop / non stop control switch for a crossing that was supervised by Lewes.... Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |
