6V80 departing Tram Inn DGL, I'm trickling him down to TI18 Sig (and then TI17 Sig) to wait 1V66 clearing the block to Pontrilas, but he doesn't draw all the way down to TI18 Sig. He stops half way out of the loop, claims to be calling in from TI18 Sig but there is a clear track circuit between him and the signal. Defensive driving?

I've attached a save.

Regards,

Phil.

The TC in question is only 10m long; I think trains stop 20m short by default. The crossover, LC and associated signals are all practically on top of each other.

Ok thanks Steamer, I didn't realise all that infrastructure was so closely spaced.

Take a look at Streetview for how close it all is.

(The loop was lifted at least a decade ago)

Yes I see what you mean.

I wonder if they miss the loop for regulating in real life? I've run nearly 6 hours of this sim over the last two days and used it three times. It's a long way from Hereford to Panteg with the uneven length block sections and the loop there is shorter than Tram Inn.

They do miss it, and I've no doubt when the Hereford - Shrewsbury resignalling happens at some point they'll restore loops evenly spaced, similar to what they did on the North Wales Coast.

That would make sense.
