Sorry folks I'm not not available tomorrow 02/05 to join the planned host. This due to member of my family passing away. I'll be back in due course.

will there be a relief signaller to cover me for a few minutes IF the postman arrives when I'm connected and signalling trains?
AS Royal Mail wont need a signature and wont be stopping to talk, I doubt anyone will notice you missing from the panel for a few seconds.
It's just I don't want to end up with a conga line of trains waiting to be signalled, hence why I'm taking the courtesy to let you guys know who are managing the session.

Well I take pride in keeping any delays to a minimum when playing MP, I just think it's only polite to mention if one has to step back from SimSig.

Session number 2 kicked off with all possessions lifted, with a 5mph ESR at Edgeley No 1.

A broken rail has also been reported by a member of off duty staff in the Hunts Cross area. We are anticipating delays on the Warrington Central corridor due to this.

29 people in attendance!

Fair - I thought the TT was starting a bit later and that the possession would continue through the day, though TBH I think it would be unplayable due to the layout.

I think https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/50546 got close to this, that was a good chain and a late night for many!

As it was you had the 2 x LOM roles running four sims each, more sims may make it harder to run via the server they use...?

The server itself can cope with as many sims as we can throw at it, the limitations tend to be

1) Have the simulations got compatible timetables (Rugby North and further South don't have ones compatible with further North (Yet! - We are working on this slowly but surely))

2) How many players can we realistically get for each session, and how many panels can we cross cover or put into ARS if we need to. Admittedly in today's game we could have put Huyton and Edge Hill on (Assuming we had timetables) and been fine staffing wise.

3) How many LOMs can we get for the session, we work on a basis one person looks after up to 5 sims each. If the session goes over 8 hours, you move toward needing multiple LOMs per "LOM slot". The 24 hour game for example we had 8 people involved in that role over the day.

All that said, I think everyone involved has thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the three games so far (1 x 24 hour, and 2 x 8 hour) we've run, and we're looking to continue running them as and when we can.

** Edit **

I just had a dig through the 24 hour session, we had 22 panels to cover across 24 hours. Assuming you staffed them on an 8 hour roster in real life, you need 66 staff for 24 hours. We had 67 individuals join the game. So the figures stack weirdly well!

The other great thing about Saltley is if diversions are required you can guarantee the driver has the required route knowledge, all the way from penzance to Inverness.
