Its a geographical area I don't know well so I don't really know what the line codes are at the moment - except by guesswork. Its fun learning a new one though and I run in normal time, no incidents and delays and with full ARS. Its the only time I use ARS anywhere, like my old friend Phil-jmw. I think its the best way to learn a new one and not to rush it. The fun really starts when you're confident enough to run with heavy delays and incidents turned on though...

I'm really enjoying a modern day timetable which allows for this - thank you. So many just simply download the CIF file and think that's the work done. I like very much the real world allowances for trains running late to a terminus off sim and providing a rule for the late running of the return working.

All in all its an excellent timetable - well done.

I'm only up to 0500 at the moment (real-time remember!) and its just getting busy!

Regards,

Vince
Hi Phil1044

Thanks for this, I really must find the time to sim your tt's as they've always interested me (especially as like myself you include those pesky late running rules) but between writing and testing my own and with everyday life time seems to escape. Cheers

Hi Vince,

it's great to see you spreading your wings to new areas and lovely to see you enjoying so modern tt's which I know is so different from the heritage tt's your write (must find the time for those too!).

All of my April 2012 tt's (generally Southern region) I write also like with Phil's have dwells and rules written in the late runnings that will affect the next workings whether at a terminus or entering the area. I haven't as yet done the "d" for ECS but maybe something for the future.

So once you've got to know the area, that's another you should enjoy simming Vince. If you need any help or tips for learning the area drop me a message

Gareth

Gareth,

Thank you - like Phil-jmw I have four screens as I like to see the whole area, or most of it, that I'm dealing with. At the moment I'm trying to operate Streatham North/South and Balham manually which gives me a fairly large and busy section.

Yes, as you know, I'm not normally one for modern timetables unless they reflect reality and I'll certainly be trying yours too.

Thanks again

Vince
