Under circumstances I haven't been able to figure out, 158 points at Moss Vale sometimes seem to ignore manual point setting commands, see the attached save file for an example. There's no error message in the message window, though, and e.g. setting a shunt route from MV74 via 158 points reverse also works - and if I cancel the route afterwards, manually swinging the points also works again in both directions. I can confirm I've hit the same bug, so it isn't just you.

Ditto, makes things slightly more complicated for trains entering from the Up Sidings.

Interesting, although if I start a fresh game, then clicking on 158A points seems to work as well, so there's still something fishy here.

The only thing I can see that prevents the points moving reverse is the state of 155 ground frame (F). That said, the unlocking of said GF is not consistent, though that does not affect these points. I'm having this issue as well. Setting a route can change the points, as well as hand cranking them, but left or right clicking on them still acts as if they're locked. Possibly related issue... After a train went into the down thru road via frame F, after resetting the frame, MV74 continued to flash, had to set a route and cancel it again. Attempt to key 158A reverse again and they flash, but fail to reverse as if locked. then key via 158B and observe them correctly reverse. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

Mantis Mantis 33415 has been logged for this, as I have run into it many many times while playing and testing current and upcoming Australian sims. It has just been very difficult to lock down the reason why. You can always get the points over by setting a route that would drive them the opposite way, then cancelling that route before the associated signal clears. They just don't respond to left and right clicking in some circumstances. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: jc92 |

I think I've fixed this now, though I could not reproduce on Moss Vale with JC92's instructions even though other's could. I could reproduce it on another sim that is in development reliably and fixed it reliably on that, and logically appears to be the same issue. The issue was pre-calling points for flank locking, which then had co-acting A and B ends (or more), and it was not clearing the pre-call on the indirect co-acting ends once the direct end detected.
