Hi All, I am a relative newbie and have not yet tried out the multiplayer feature of SimSig. I have a free account and don't have a full license so will I still be able to join simulations? And which ones will I be able to join? - I presume all the free ones but thought maybe some might be closed off to free accounts? Thanks in advance. D

Hi :) Happy to be corrected, but I don't believe there's any such thing as a free account. Maybe things have changed since I first bought a simulation, but I understand that licenses are for individual simulations, so you pay for the sim and then you have a license for that sim, but I don't think there's any distinction between free accounts and paid accounts. You can play a multiplayer game on any sim you have a license for, so yes, you're quite right, you can play any of the free sims single player or multiplayer. But yes, if you want to play a payware sim, even in a multiplayer game, you will need to purchase your own license for that sim. But then you get to keep it and play it to your heart's content. Having said that, I remember the old advice was always to take some time to get familiar with both the sim and how multiplayer works, perhaps by observing a game or two. Probably worth doing, though I've never actually played a multiplayer game, except once with a friend privately. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: sartlerdavid |

DYou can play free simulations solo and on multiplayer. Paid for sims can only be played for both solo and multiplayer if you purchase a licence for it. On your loader you will have sims that have a Green signal next to it, those are the ones you can use. IF you tick the check box below the sim lists then it will display those sims that you can use. I found multiplayers were really good for getting some experience! When playing single player it's easy to hit a brick wall if you can't get something to work properly, but in Multiplayer it gives the benefit of people to ask! User | Multiplayer Host | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |
