Decided to have a go with SimSig after some years away. I was aware that some of the product had now become payware but getting a trifle confused with which simulations are actually freeware. I see there is a category for donationware, a couple of those show they are free but when I add to cart, comes up with a mandatory donation.

Now I have no issue making a small contribution, the price of a couple of beers, for a really good map but there does seem to be a bit of discrepancy?

All simulations are downloaded using the SimSig Loader; for the free simulations, these can be played as much as you like without any further action. You don't have to make a donation (though they are welcomed).

If you've been away for a while, take a look at this article which explains how simulations are downloaded and (if you want to) purchased: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Article/Details/216

Just made my first purchase - Moss Vale, looks challenging. Worked out that you actually need to log in on the game to access the full version, after a doh moment.

You will enjoy the differences, especially the long route setting and the pre set routing features.

I might fly over it first in the Cessna (FS2020) to familiarise myself with the area!

Always had a thing for overseas simulation, my favourite SIAM games (apart from Inverness) were the American ones - Tehachapi, Kansas to St Louis and the Spokane Funnel. Looked deceptively simple.
