Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend me a modern(ish) simulation for 2-3 monitors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sam

Can depend on what you prefer, West Anglia is an IECC which can span several monitors, or old(er) sims like Swindon/Didcot, or fully mech sims like NWC/Hereford so depends on what era you fancy!

How many monitors do you have?
And it depends on how difficult a sim you can manage.

I have a laptop between two monitors and find that Peterborough fits across the three screens quite nicely with minimal scrolling and it shouldn't prove too difficult once you get into the swing of things.

Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate.

If you're running out of screen space you can use the 'New View' feature to open new windows to, say, show entry points that are out of sight normally so you don't miss trains entering the sim, or for re-arranging views so you don't have to scroll. I have four monitors and by judicial use of the 'New View' option I can, for instance, display the Hereford sim without having to scroll by opening 3 new views. I also do it with North Wales Coast, Newport and Cardiff, to name a few more. 'New View' really is your friend if your screen space is limited and you want to keep scrolling to a minimum.

I wasn't aware of this feature.
I have found it in the Wiki and will review it tomorrow.

For example, here is my dual monitor setup playing the Newport sim, which is still too long (it must be over 10000 horizontal pixels), so I use the new view option so I can get the who sim on the screens at once.
