hello using the supplied timetable

6h90 has a runround here when I do it manually the set comes out of the docks goes into pelaw loop , drops the loco, loco runs round but it seems to lock the points on the way back i.e it seems to be overhanging. coming quick behind is a GC HST ECS also wanting the other loop

I had a look in the manual and cant see the loop lengths anyone any ideas ?

The information that I have is that the Pelaw Up Goods Loop is 384 metres and the Down Goods Loop is 320 metres

I don't recall where I got these figures from but if they are wrong perhaps someone can give the correct figures.

This screenshot gives some the Platform and Loop lengths that I have and that I can't actually see in the manual.

Many thanks. 6H90 is 412m long coal for Drax , timetabled into DGL is 320m so the sim is doing what its supposed to. is this what normally happens in real life ?

The Drax trains dont use the Pelaw loops these days, they use the Junctions at Boldon from the north and south for access to the coal terminal at Tyne Dock.
I have a 2017 sim timetable ready but I'm waiting for some sim amendments to be made to Tyneside which have been ticketed on Mantis.
Geoff - I know you have a lot on at the moment but can you possibly have a look at them please? Especially the access to Tyne Dock from the Sunderland end, which the sim doesnt alow you to timetable.

I’ve been thinking about the Loop lengths which I gave in post #133930 above and the only place that I would have seen them as far as I recall, would have been in the Tyneside manual. I generally copy the Platform and Loop lengths in the manuals and paste them individually into a Word document which I then open for reference when running the related simulation.

If you look at the current manual and click on the ‘Platform, Loop and Siding lengths’ button, the last section is a coloured representation of Newcastle Station Platform Lengths followed by some explanatory text. The Loop Lengths that I gave above appeared below this text.

If they are still relevant, shouldn’t they be added to the manual?
