Excellent to see a new Shrewsbury timetable has been released. Just a point of order though, I notice some of the freight workings included have had their obfuscated headcode used, for instance 698U should be shown as 6V75. It is useful in many sims to at least be able to distinguish between class 4 and class 6 trains. Morning Andy, I think the codes still begin with a 4 or 6?

Yes, fair point actually i'd never registered that! Is quite unusual practice to use the obfuscated code in these timetables though. User | Multiplayer Host | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |

I suppose it reflects real life, I notice when using the diagrams on railcam etc that its quite often the obfuscated code on the real panels

On internal systems, they're always displayed as you'd expect, e.g. 4V75, 6A00 etc. However, while it may be unusual in a SimSig timetable, it doesn't really matter - if you can't get the info, you can't get the info and it doesn't detract from what is a great timetable, I'm sure! I think this is work-in-progress as there have been a couple of additions in the past week or two. Currently the archive has WTTs for September 2001, September 2002 then a full set from December 2008 onwards. Thanks to Meld for the tip about the Archive. For anyone interested, Network Rail publish the WTT in PDF format, which shows the proper headcodes. Hi everyone! Thank you for this thread! I'm absolutely chuffed to see the support. Thank you for referencing the obfuscated headcodes - As pointed out already, it was the information that was made available by the websites I use. Interesting to learn that they're obfuscated "as not to give away secrets to other FOCs". Please provide more feedback to this Shrewsbury timetable so I can make any updates in the future if necessary. Please check out my North Wales Coast and Northeast Wales timetables as well. More timetables for other products to come soon. Thank you everyone! Log in to reply |
