Delete everything that is Simsig from your machine, including Recycle bin and then click on Geoff's link and start again. (delete all download files in your download folders etc... absolutely everything) There doesn't seem to be any solid explanation as to what is happening. If you feel the need to make a copy of any save games that you might have had, then do so, but there is always that chance that they may not work correctly with later releases of sims from when you took a hiatus. It seems that you are getting no where with everything else. So, only if you want to, attempt this. I have some good news for all. I have managed to solve the issue via a web search and the forum here. It seems that someone had a similar problem back in 2018 and it required a member to post a v2 font file which somehow got missed during all of the installations. SimSigv2.fon is the offending item. The loader now loads correctly. It is now fully updated. Thank you all so much for your help and I may see you on some multiplayer games soon enough. Cheers Log in to reply |

Glad you got it sorted.
