I just had a chained SimSig session shut down because I haven't been online, in less than a week.

I put it online refreshed it and started up Shrewsbury. It started up then dropped out, Lost Licence.

I started it up again to chain it, it chained to North East Wales & Hereford, then it's switched to demo mode.

As it's switched to Demo mode, I cannot make a save to send or post.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Loader: SimSig Loader version 5.16.1; Sim: Simulation Shrewsbury; data version 1.6
License: Demo mode
TT: Shrewsbury SX 08 04 2015 0000 start v1.1.3
TT filename: Shrewsbury SX 08 04 2015 0000 start.WTT
TT merged: False
Sim upgrade: False
Loader upgrade: False
Save reloaded: True

You don't have the same issue occurring with Hereford?

If you find yourself offline more often than not, Why not just lock all your sims when you are connected?

How to report an issue: www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:reportanissue

Given that SimSig doesn't support obsolete operating systems I would really recommend upgrading. Windows 7 stopped getting updates 18 months ago and really shouldn't be connected to the internet any more.

This is neither XP or Vista.

Yes unfortunately even locked sims still seem to require little top-up connections to the internet at intervals which one presumes are dictated by God alone

Sacro was just highlighting the general point of the provided link about unsupported operating systems. He's further mentioned that Windows 7 has stopped getting updates some time ago, which was in reference to your provided information showing Windows 7 home premium. They both go hand in hand.

Guys, please understand I realise how my laptop and operating system works. If I believed that my operating system was the issue I would have upgraded a long time ago.
Thank you for pointing put my Windows 7, I was simply pointing out that the link that was sent was not relevant to my operating system. Simsig still works very comfortably on Windows 7.

The link is relevant as Windows 7 has been out of support by Microsoft for over 12 months, as such SimSig don't guarantee to support it.

As an aside, your Shrewsbury license wasn't at the time you reported this thread locked to a computer, it was in use in dynamic mode. So on that basis I suspect you lost the internet connection given that Hereford which was locked didn't disappear.

If it has found to be in Dynamic mode then this may need to be looked at because I don't run anything in Dynamic mode. I lock everything to my laptop. I've report this loss in licence before so I never leave anything dynamic. If you notice I don't report it any more, on this occasion it was a strange disconnection.
