Two things I've noticed so far (and an observation):- 1. 4O12 0240 Hams Hall - Southampton and 4O12 0243 Hams Hall - Southampton both enter, surely should be either/or. 2. 4V40 0157 PRFLTTT (wherever that is, see below) - Morris Cowley is booked on Hinksey Reception lines for 20 mins, presumably to run round, but there is no associated loco runround movement. Ref PRFLTTT in 2 above, I'm sorry but I just don't like TT's written using Tiplocs for origin and destination as some, such as this one, are just too vague to be of any use to anyone who does not have access to a full Tiploc list. PRFLTTT is Purfleet Deep Water Wharf Railfreight Distribution, which I presume is one or more of the sidings under the Dartford crossing. http://www.railwaycodes.org.uk/crs/crsp.shtm ("crsp" is the page for stuff beginning with "P"; change the last letter accordingly). Given Purfleet is nowhere near Oxford, do you really care where it came from? What's the description in the real WTTs or the CIF? I wouldn't be surprised if the TIPLOC was used because the name is too long to fit most places but the originating area need to know the full detail. All of these timetables will become 'historic' at some point and a record of what trains ran from where based on real source data is I beleive a useful side effect of the timetables of SimSig - as it is for some other sims. clive in post 141114 said:Yes, otherwise they're all just meaningless trains running from somewhere unrecognisable to somewhere else equally unrecognisable. It's been years since I worked with TOPS and TRUST so memory fades, but TIPLOCS were not used by frontline staff (we tended to use the printed WTT and STN's, and TOPS names and 5-digit STANNOX numbers). IIRC TIPLOCS were/are used in timetable creation which was more behind the scenes, said TIPLOC's being linked to TOPS station names which are visible to the operators. 6A02 1929 Carlisle - Bicester arrives Hinksey Sdgs from the north to run round before departing for Bicester. The light engine move, however, is timed to run round from the north to the south, when it should be south to north.

4V40 0157 and 0256 Purfleet - Morris Cowley both enter, needs an either/or rule. Also, the 0256 4V40 does not have an associated loco runround timetabled in. Last edited: 13/08/2021 at 12:43 by Phil-jmw Reason: None given Log in to reply |

5T10 0513 Aylesbury - Oxford routed via Up Main at Oxford North Jn queries the route, stating booked via Up & Dn Passr Loop. As the train is booked via Oxford Pfm.3 and then to the Up Passr Loop which is accessible from the Up Main and the Up Oxford Relief I can't see why he would be querying the route at Oxford Nth Jn. Apologies if thisis a sim bug rather than a TT bug, Mods feel free to relocate this comment to the correct Forum page. 5V82 0426 Barton Depot (Central Rivers) - Reading is booked Through Line at Oxford but queries the route as booked to call at Oxford. As with 5T10 above, apologies if this is sim- rather than TT-related. Log in to reply |
