Hi,

I've noticed that if any berth has been manually interposed with e.g. 1S25 but the ID is different e.g. 1S25-1, then ACI doesn't work at any terminal location if that "short" TD has stepped into the arrival berth.

If the FULL code has been interposed and has stepped along, ACI works just fine.

Is there some magic that can be applied to the sim code to allow ACI to understand what to do?

Thanks
Jamie

Probably coded to replicate real life where you don't have TD suffixes. Can it be fixed in the TT by using discrete UIDs rather than suffixing a TD?

Hi John,

The UIDs are unique, whereas the TRN's tend to get recycled (hence the suffixing in my TT, to allow comparison for pan-Scotland dataset :))

There's nothing that can be done in the simulation data to change the behavior. ACI literally looks at the full contents of the berth before deciding what it should do with it. While the TD only (generally) shows 4 characters on the screen the contents can be larger. When ACI looks at the contents it's needs a full match to know what to do, it sees 2C37 and 2C37-1 differently, as it does 2C37 and 2C37MFO for example.

With SimSig now having UIDs there's not really a need anymore for suffixed TDs, whatever you need the suffixed TDs for maybe you could compare the UIDs as well?
