This timetable has been submitted and is awaiting approval. SHEFFIELD – 28/08/21 – Saturday A Saturday timetable for Sheffield based on the workings from 28/08/21. Not a lot of freight at the weekend. Most passenger services are operated by Northern, East Midlands Railway, Cross Country and Transpennine Express, as well as Sheffield Supertram. There are still some Covid reductions, but this is a busier timetable than my previous Sheffield offering. There is also the appearance of a ROG charter operating from Chesterfield to Workington (and return). Certain assumptions have been made regarding shunt moves around Sheffield Station and to/from the Holding Sidings, there will be some clashes so it is up to the signaller to regulate and prioritise on passenger workings. This will chain to my other 28/08/21 timetables, when and where available. Special thanks as ever go to Chris Law and Phil Hodgson for assistance and encouragement. Looking forward to playing this one.. Would also make a nice chain, should chainable timetables for neighbouring simulations be released.

Thanks, I'm working on a Leeds Ardsley and a Huddersfield initially that will chain, and hopefully when the remainder of Doncaster is released shortly I'll get a compatible timetable done for that one too.

Are some lines/points still out of use following the freight derailment earlier this year (or would they have been on the date this TT is set)?
There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

Last I heard the paintwork was a specialist casting which will take some time to replace, but that was months ago. 1B52 seems to have it's divide the wrong way round with the rear unit needing to depart towards Grindleford and the front to Moorthorpe

Hi, Thanks for this. A number of trains are booked to reverse at Masborough SS, which shows up on validation as "unsafe". This prevents them from running. If you use the Tool 1 on the timetable you will see which they are. They should be booked to reverse @ Canklow Goods Loop. This validate OK. Attention also needs to paid to train positioning in platforms, There seem to be several instances where trains terminaete in platforms 5 and 2 where 5A or 2A or 2B, or 5A or 5B should be specified in order to allow oher trains to enter without having to reverse trains to manage this. . I hadn't come across any times I had to reverse anything, but I will look at changing the Platform 2 and 5 allocations in light of your comments. Thanks again. Thanks for these constructive comments, it's much appreciated. As i'm sure people are aware a massive amount of time goes into these and then the testing but there will always be some things that slip through. I've made some amendments to the timetable and will include these in the next reissue.
