Would there be any possibility of having a text-box in the drop-down box where line, path (and perhaps platforms) are added to timetable locations?

The rationale being to allow the timetable writer to be able to add their own, in order to more accurately reflect the timetable should there be a mismatch between it and the sim, for whatever reason.

Not sure how practicable this would be to implement, however it’s just a thought.

Due to how these are used in path validation unfortunately I can't see this being a feasible option.

Headshot is correct. This information is used in a number of ways and is part of the sim design. As an example, the platform number is used in determining stopping points for trains and, therefore, when they start braking.

If you think something is wrong, report the issues in the relevant area of the Forum and the sim developer can look at it.

Ok understood, thanks for the reply.

The two which spring to mind are on King’s Cross, up trains leaving from Welwyn GC platforms 3 & 4 have an “UWF” path in the timetable, and also Letchworth A/D Line where roads 1 or 2 are shown. The latter can be a slight issue as in the sim it is necessary to use the correct roads, especially in pre-2018 timetables where they are in more constant use through the day.

Around 2014/2015 Network Rail had a nationwide run changing line codes and adding more TIPLOCS around the country.

The modern era on Kings Cross predates these changes and would need another era, which I doubt will happen with Kings Cross in this guise.

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

That could well explain it; the TT I was working on was 2017. Feels like an age ago now, but in reality still fairly recent.

To be fair there’s only a couple of small niggles. The Welwyn one is more a point of neatness as any such train has a timing point at Hatfield to pick up the SL code. Letchworth A/D Line lack of road numbers is slightly more of a problem, though solvable by making a simplifier sheet and having it to hand! It could be worked around by using the “Letchworth Rev Sdg” option instead, but I’m reluctant to use this simply as it’s not what the real thing uses.
