Hi, it looks like there is no TT location for the Gulf Albion Oil Depot which is off-sim but drawn just north of Sandwell and Dudley. This means I cannot recreate a train into the oil depot and am simply setting it to exit at Galton junction.

Obviously for just Wolverhampton, this isn't an issue but if I wanted to create a timetable that worked across sims, how would I create this train correctly so that when it appeared on New Street, it would not travel to Galton junction but would stop and reverse at Sandwell? I don't really know how it works anyway when you chain sims since the exit locations are always within the boundary of the adjacent areas rather than literally on the boundary. Do trains simply lose the timetable locations from the source area and simply inherit the correct ones from the destination area?

Thanks

Correct, the train transfers between simulations at the control area boundary and takes up the timetable in the second simulation.

Most sims have a fair amount of overlap, both so trains approach and recede realistically, and for easier timetabling. In this case the overlap is between Galton Jn and Dudley goods loops. What Wolverhampton would have seen with a train for the oil terminal is it progressing from Galton to the crossovers marked on the sim and then disappear - and this is how you'd see it on SimSig too.

So while you can't timetable a train on Wolverhampton to go to the oil terminal (or recess on the Down Goods at Dudley, both because simulating a signaller regulating is really rather tricky and can result in undesirable effects with delays on), you can on New Street and a chained Wolverhampton will be just fine.
