Hi all, Being someone who is in to simulation usually after purchasing a product you get a key or at least a link to a download. However after joining SimSig and purchasing Marylebone I have no received neither apart from the money being deducted from my account. So could someone please advise where my product is or point me in the direction of obtaining said product before I have to contact my bank. Kind regards Lee Log in to reply |

Hi Lee, You can check if a license has been issued by visiting your "Manage my licenses" page under your profile. To access any simulations you have purchased you simply need to download and install the SimSig Loader and login with the same credentials you use for the website. I do not work for the company, but I do own almost every sim that is available. Let me assure you that keys are not issued, nor are download links made available. It used to be that simulations had to be downloaded individually and licenses had to be allocated manually by the user using a license manager, but that has all been swept away in favour of an always-online DRM approach (I think that's the term for it anyway). You don't want to think of individual simulations as individual products, it's not really how they work any more, they're more like expansion packs if you like, downloadable content you know. So these days everything is done through the SimSig Loader. Judging by a previous mention of '15 minutes' you would appear to have successfully downloaded the Loader: great. That should download all the simulations available all by itself (seems like that has happened). Your license is allocated to your account, without any link needing to be clicked or anything being received in your email account or any CD being posted to you. However, you need to log in to the loader. There is a space for your user name at the bottom of the start menu before you click anything else at all. You'll need to input your user name Griffy1988 and whatever password you use to access the forum. Once you are logged in you will then find that if you go to select a simulation Marylebone's signal will change from yellow to green, meaning you'll be able to play away. If you choose you can also lock the license to your machine from within the Loader. That will mean you can play without needing to be online and can mitigate occasional issues some people may occasionally have with licenses being de-allocated mid-game (those issues seem to have been ironed out now), but will mean that you can only play on one computer unless you manually deallocate the license again to allow it to be used on another machine as long as you are logged into the Loader. I echo this, I also own the majority of available sims, and have (so far) never had any issues being able to access them. Simply reloading the Loader seems to solve any potential issues (for instance one one has been bought the loaded needs to be reopened to show them as owned).
