Related to earlier discussion in https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/53066?postId=140548
The shunt and call-on routes into Snow Hill include the overlaps from the main routes. In the case of 459 to 197, this causes the signal to revert to danger when the train in the platform starts to leave. The track circuit of the platform is permissive, but the overlap is not. Because the overlap can does not conflict with the main route from 197 towards 189, the overlap can become occupied this way and this reverts 459 to danger. I would expect signal 197 to have Huddersfield Control (where you cannot set exit route if call-on is set and vice-versa), or otherwise be noted in the manual as a signaller pitfall.

While checking the manual for this, I noticed it says
Quote:
Trains reversing behind signal 469 should be routed to the white shunt arrow at Jewellery Quarter.
However 469 is nowhere near Snow Hill (it's at Duddeston Jn). The manual is talking about 459 here.

Manual edited to correct signal number.

Issue with overlaps is already covered HERE, there have been no updates on the discussion since then.

Although that covers the existence of the overlap at all, it does not cover their behaviour regarding the reverting to danger.
The thread does mention it "might be a way to add Huddersfield Control", but the issue shows this does not work (anymore?)

While I concede that mantis reports aren't public, the question asked in the report listed is (paraphrasing): "should there be overlaps, how should they behave".

If/When the ticket is looked at I'm sure those questions will be answered, and any changes necessary will be implemented.

Thank you for your further report though.
