Please use this thread to discuss the Chicago L May 2021 21-Day Random Decision timetable, linked >>HERE<< Based upon the May 2021 timetables published by the CTA. On load the sim will randomly choose a day of the week to run from a pre-generated 3 week stack. Each day has a minor variance in dwell times for each service at each station within a range with a bias based upon each station's annual statistics from 2018 annual ridership report. Trains during peak hours are longer in length and dwell at stations for longer, making the loop more congested. Morning Peak 06:00-10:00 Evening Peak 15:30-19:30 Routes: Green North - Enter at Roosevelt and exit at Clinton via the anti-clockwise outer loop Green South - Enter at Clinton and exit at Roosevelt via the clockwise inner loop Orange - Enters and exits at Roosevelt, traveling clockwise around the inner loop Brown - Enters and exits at Merchandise Mart, traveling around the anti-clockwise outer loop Pink - Enters and exits at Clinton, traveling around the clockwise outer loop Purple - Enters and exits at Merchandise Mart, traveling around the clockwise outer loop during peak hours only. During the morning peak some Orange trains enter as normal before converting to a Brown train at Adams/Wabash; During testing it was decided these trains would enter Roosevelt as Brown trains to prevent wrong route delays at tower 12. Some Brown trains then enter as normal before turning to Orange trains as HW Library; These trains do change head code whilst in the loop, so be aware when routing tower 12 in the morning peak. These trains are identified by having a UID beginning with K or M. Considering that sim era being 2014, and two of the stations have now closed (Madison/Wabash 2015 & Randolph/Wabash 2017) and been replaced by a centralised Washington/Wabash in mid 2017. I have chosen to treat Madison/Wabash as OOU and use Randolph/Wabash as a substitute for the new Washington/Wabash, thus no trains call at Madison/Wabash. It is strongly recommended to start this simulation paused to allow SimSig to load the 15,183 unique trains from file and allow the decision to be made without trouble, once the green lines appear you can unpause the sim. Additionally autosave frequency should be reduced due to extended save times which freezes the sim. Due to a known sim bug that will not be fixed, points P3 & P4 on the exit from Washington/Wells towards tower 18 on the clockwise inner loop can be locked reversed preventing a non-conflicting being set, until the track section containing P3 & P4 is vacated. During a 'Lock-up' of Tower 18 caused by trains queuing to enter the clockwise inner loop at Clark/Lake this can be for an extended period of time. Changelog: v1.0.0 - Initial Release, same as development version E15r1 v1.1.0 - Timetable description updated to fix typos, formatting and add advice about unpausing sim on completed load (First public release) When reporting timetable bugs please include the day (and day code) and the UID of the train in question and upload a saved game from as most recent autosave before the issue arose to help me re-create the issue The train now standing on platform 2, should be on the rails Last edited: 29/07/2022 at 05:02 by rfw Reason: Insert URL Log in to reply The following users said thank you: stighetl, leigh |
