Line Names, 2011 & 2016 eras 11/10/2022 at 09:14 #148320

Greetings,

Just a minor thing in that the line names on the 2011 & 2016 eras appear to be incorrect.

I note that the line from Wolvercote Junction to Charlbury in the 2011 & 2016 eras is named as the Up & Down Worcester. However I recently managed to get my hands, through a swap, on signalling notice NR/GW/18 which was issued in April 2011 in connection with the commissioning of the revised layout and contains this info regarding line names:

"Lines on the new and existing double track sections of the route will be known as the Down Cotswolds and Up Cotswolds lines replacing the current Down Main and Up Main lines. Remaining sections of single line will be known as the Up and Down Cotswolds single line."

The attached photo shows part of the diagram from the Stage 1 map which was the stage between Wolvercote Junction and Kingham: the signal on the diagram is AW2405 which is shown on Oxford sim as the repeater (but given in NR/GW/18 as a distant: same thing I guess) between Combe and Finstock.

My continued thanks go to those who continue to build these simulations and keep them available.

Cheers,
Dave

Mantis 0036765 though don't expect an update just for a label change.

I didn't expect an update to be done merely for a label change but I thought I would pass this on in case any more updates were to be done.
