Era 2018-2020

For Manchester International Depot Wheel Lathe 2 & 3 roads are they electrified?. Reason I ask this from my own viewings and Google Maps it seems to have OHLE into the roads up to the sheds. I have a timetable under work and it states 'Wrong Traction Power' for Longsight Wheel Lathe 2 & 3. Only other solution is to use the Excursion Platform which also doesn't mention how long it actual is within the manual.

They are all electrified although the wheel lathe building itself isn’t - but you can get a 397 in between the signal and the building. The two depot roads are fully electrified although the wires were isolated until a month or so ago in readiness for Northern to take over the depot as New Bank St LMD

I don’t have a length for the excursion platform but you can get 4 323s in there with plenty of room to spare.

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

Thank you for this. I did hear about Northern using the Depot but never caught the name of it.
Instead Mchester Internation Dep according to RTT.
RTT Example: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C54349/2023-02-02/detailed

So in theory 2x 3-Car Class 331s[6-Car Total] should fit on the Excursion Platform without issue.

Curious to know if its actually electrified on the actual sim?

Electrical section HM-8Y which covers Wheel Lathe Road 3 has been permanentely earthed for many years (And in fact may never have been energised.) until very recently (October 2022). Section HM-8F which covers Road 2 is a strange one, it is energised if required, but spends a lot of time under a BTET. This was the situation when the simulation was written, and remained until very recently.

From December Northern will be using the International depot for 4 movements on and off per day, the simulation doesn't currently reflect this.

Excursion will take 12 x 23m vehicle.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer
