Driver 1T22 refuses to pass WK146 despite it proven and showing green. A PSAD authority just results in another phone call. USL Walton-on-Thames Starter.

It had previously been given authority to run over SOWC (home) section TARQ.

Thanks

It had a change of aspect at some point. Ideally need a save *before* the events to see how it got into the state it's in. "Shunt forward" gets the train going again.

Routes from either platform at Hampton Court onto the down line (up direction) don't seem to be triggering the auto raise on Hampton Court LC.

I've just tested this and not been able to reproduce. Do you have a save game that exhibits this behaviour please?
In the attached save game, when 1J78 is routed up the down Hampton Court, the level crossing remains lowered after its passage.
We struggled to reproduce this, and I think it's because it is right on the threshold in terms of timing between working and not working - for example, if our trains crossed at 24mph but yours at 25mph. We think we've found the problem anyway - the odd track circuiting does not help.

Mantis 37330.
Further to this, it would make sense for it to be timing as you say, as in the attached save, 3S84 (MPV, only 40m long) didn't trigger the auto raise either on arrival or departure.

Something I find slightly odd - you get a message that a train has entered, sometime earlier than it appears in the APPR box - depending on the line. Shouldn't the TD generally be in the APPR box if the train is entered and not yet in one of my TCs?

Not sure if other sims do this too, but this panel has so many fringes, it stands out

(named for the one in Tasmania, not in Russia)

No, there's a lot of simulations where that isn't the case. The simulation has to go back to the next mandatory timing point off the area for timetabling purposes which is where the entry message is generated, but the actual train describer of the location may not see trains till they are closer to the area.
"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Bit of a quirk at Farnham CSD. I misrouted 5N54 towards 445 instead of 803.

When I called them to "Cancel all acceptances", they only replaced the FD820 slot, meaning I could not get permission to send 5N54 again.

However, cancelling the specific acceptance on 5N54 returned the FD803 slot, allowing me to then ask for FD820.

Thanks
Jamie

Sorry, I missed this before. This is correct, albeit rather unusual, that only the warner route has auto working. Presumably because leaving the main in would cause conflictions ad nauseum with the service pattern and track layout there.

Just out of interest, did this happen when reloading a save? It has just happened to me on another simulation, and my hypothesis is that the train was in the process of passing the signal (or was sitting at the signal and about to report in) immediately before the simulation was saved, and so when it is reloaded it sees the red signal on loading for an instant and gets confused. Mine also occurred after the train was 'talked through' a TCF, but is now sitting at a clear signal. As with you, using F2 to 'shunt forward' gets it going again.

I have attached a save (Doncaster North) just in case it's helpful for the developers, but it'll undoubtedly be in the same state as 9qN1SEAp's submitted save. The previous save is too early for it to be useful (sorry).

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Just checked from previous saves; 1T22 was at Weybridge at the time the sim was loaded, the TCF hasn't happened at that point and WK146 was proved off.

Thanks
Jamie

I’ve noticed that the slot to go into Farnham reception line is labelled as FD803. This slot is actually FD830. The signal to go into the depot is FD803.

There seems to be no valid paths from Woking Platform 1 or 2 to WK2108 the GPLS on the Down Fast. Only valid paths are from 4, 5 or 6

Mantis 38231

Thanks. I remember changing that to the wrong value during development, on the assumption that I'd transposed two digits. From panel photos I can see I was right the first time!

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned already. I have created a modern timetable for Woking and I've found there is no way of signalling a train from Farnham station into the reception road without getting a slot into the depot. Which, when I'm simulating the Guildford to Farnham shuttle, it is not what I want to happen, I want the train to sit in the reception road, so it can reverse and stay in the sim. Is this a bug or something that hasn't been implemented? If it hasn't been implemented, it would be really useful to have it.

Yes, there's a thread on it already, plus a correction to its number mentioned in this thread.

Setting a route from WK169 to WK373 (platform 4) via 2213 points results in free greens. As this is a 40mph crossover on an otherwise 90mph line, should there be some form of approach control on this route? The route from WK167 to WK371 via 2203 points produces the correct flashing sequence.

Hmmm, does seem odd. have raised as Mantis 38240 for GeoffM

WK371 is a drawing up signal; so funky aspect conditions aren't exactly surprising.

The sim seems to want WK373 at YY or G, or approach control satisfied, before WK371 clears. Taken with a massive pinch of salt as it's not a verified source of signal indications, but a brief stint of observing the Woking area on the open data feeds would suggest this is correct behaviour.

We've re-checked the control tables and believe the behaviour is correct. As James said, it's a bit complex, and it may also have something to do with read-across controls.

Can confirm that this is the correct sequence if the route is set while the train is at Woking and WK375 clears once we've passed the AWS magnet.
