Out of curiosity, does anybody know anything about the timeline of Huddersfield Control, i.e. when did the pioneering installation at Huddersfield happen, and how quickly did it subsequently spread around the country?
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

At its namesake it was installed in the 1958 resignalling.

Widespread implementation wasn't till after an incident at Stafford in 1990, but various installations pre then did have.
