Central Coast NSW 2011 10 23

This thread is for discussion of the Central Coast NSW 2011 10 23 timetable.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Might be me not doing something right but I have to transpose the train order differently for V720 - Newcaastle Platform 3 Arr @ 0824hrs. The train divides into V727 and V498. When the train arrives, the train order is V498 at the city end and V727 at buffer. V498 isn't scheduled to depart until 0837 to Newcastle Mid Rev 5/7/(B)/19 with V727 due to depart at 0835. Easy fix was to transpose V727 at the city end and V498 at the buffer but would have to do this each time you play the timetable. In the timetable edit, is it a matter of just changing the activity editor for run V727 and selecting Divides (New front) instead of (New rear)? Thanks for your help

Hey mate

When I load the sim, the timetable for V720 reads like this:

On arrival at Newcastle (so, facing the buffers before any direction change), the first activity is to detach V727 from the rear, and what is remaining of V720 after that divide forms V498. So V727 should be on the signal and V498 on the buffers for you already.

Are you seeing something different?

I interpreted the timetable exactly as you described, and it shows up the same when I click show timetable for V720. However, when V720 arrives it reverses the order. This is the screenshot I took just as V720 arrived. It has V727 on the buffers and V498 at the city end.

Would you be able to attach a savegame from before the train arrives, so I can have a play with it and see what is happening?

Too easy. I've uploaded the save game @ 0816hrs, just as its arriving into Hamilton. Let me know if there's any issues with the save game.

Thanks.

Okay, what you're seeing is not the trains dividing in the wrong order, but the train describer is automatically setting up the outgoing descriptions in the wrong order.

You don't need to transpose anything, you just need to 'interpose' V727 on the signal and V498 on the buffer. No action is required with the trains themselves.

Mantis 38409 - I'll sort out a fix for the next update.
