It’s finally here! We are very happy to report that SimSig Crewe is finally ready for your enjoyment. One of our most, if not *the* most, complicated sim, Crewe covers not only the PSB but also the very many small signal boxes around the Crewe area. The core depicted era is that immediately after the 1985 re-signalling of Crewe Station.

The Crewe simulation covers the West Coast Mainline from Madeley (Exclusive) through to Acton Grange Junction (Exclusive) as well as part of the branches toward Manchester via Sandbach, and Liverpool via Runcorn. The branches towards Shrewsbury, Chester, Greenbank and Kidsgrove are also included, as are the many access points to the yard complex at Basford Hall.

Options have been included to make the workload more manageable for a single player such as extra auto buttons, and turning off controlled level crossings and the absolute block equipment.

Crewe chains to all seven adjacent simulations, which allows for huge variety in multiplayer games.
We are also pleased to report that the Derby sim has been thoroughly renovated to better handle both 1980s eras and the modern PSB eras (before transferring to East Midlands ROC). Pascal (58050) has kindly provided a very enjoyable 1987 timetable which now comes bundled with the simulation.

In addition, the following simulations and/or timetables have also been updated:
- Central Coast NSW (sim)
- Cheshire Lines (sim)
- Chester (sim and 2015 timetable)
- Exeter (2009 timetable)
- Hunts Cross (sim)
- Manchester North (sim)
- Manchester South (sim)
- Shrewshbury (sim and 2015 timetable)
- Staffordshire (sim)
- Stockport (sim)
- Warrington (sim)
- West Anglia (2016 timetable)

Please note that Staffordshire will temporarily not chain to Wolverhampton due to some changes on the boundary. Wolverhampton will be re-released as soon as possible.

Finally, we’re still working on Doncaster Station but had to concentrate on getting Crewe ready first.

What one hell of a sim Crewe is and after many years of waiting it's finally here! One thing I've noticed though is that the Last Sent TD isn't working at Acton Grange Junction

Glad you're enjoying the sim. In answer to your question, the TD stepping for the Last Sent berths is unusual in that they clear out after the passage of a train. The following is quoted from the manual.

Quote:
Last Sent berths will all clear out when the last track circuit in the route clears.

SSM/SSN refers to the Down Independent lines for through traffic, so either NH34/36 signals

Well done to involved with Crewe: glad it is finally in the public domain and I look forward to getting familiar with which lines go where. As for Doncaster Station and the re-release of Wolverhampton I will look forward to those when they happen. Bravo!

Cheers,
Dave

As a solo player just wanted to say thanks re the updated Derby SIM especially with the 1987 TT, a nice touch has been the addition of the telephone call to the station supervisor re a change in platforms a very welcome realistic addition.
