I swear I'm losing my mind. I could've swore that on one of the sims there was a station at the end of a line, but beyond the station there was an M.O.D siding. However, I can't seem to remember what station it was, or find it by looking through the signaling diagrams.

Are you thinking of Shoeburyness on the LTS lines?

The Bicester Town branch in the earlier eras of Oxford perhaps? There's an MOD siding on the branch, though the line beyond the station continues to Claydon LNE Jn for waste traffic. Cardiff Valleys has the Aberdare branch, though the continuation there is to a colliery not an MOD site. Shoeburyness (LTS sim) has an MOD yard beyond the station, however it's accessed via the Carriage Sidings so doesn't appear on the panel. As far as I'm aware it was the same when Shoeburyness box was open.9pN1SEAp in post 151407 said:The MOD Sdgs at Shoeburyness MOD were known as Pig's Bay & was still there during the mid 1990s as I dealt with trains going there from Liverpool Street RCO M& Stratford ROC.Are you thinking of Shoeburyness on the LTS lines? That's what I wondered as well. As for possible candidates, Fawley/Marchwood has an MOD complex next to the station at the end of a branch. I cant remember how much was simulated on Southampton. Salisbury also has 2 adjacent MOD sites on a single track branch. It's not terminal but memory's can be hazy? "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |
