Hi Guys I thought I would fire up Moss Vale for the first time in a while. I have noticed I can no longer set long routes on any of the Unanderra line - I have to click signal to signal. I either get a message saying "no route between selected signals" or the second click is treated by the sim as if I am selecting the entrance signal for a route set. It is working fine everywhere else on the sim, just not on the ' top shelves' I have loaded the sim a couple of time to see if it was a load glitch but to no avail. Cheers Log in to reply |

I can confirm that this has been the case for a while. You can set long routes within the local interlockings, but not between interlockings on the Unanderra to Moss Vale line. Was it ever not like that?

Thanks Drew. Unless my mind is playing tricks on me, I am pretty sure you could last time I played the sim, which was probably a year ago after getting hooked on Carlisle.

I noticed this a while back too, and thought it was strange. I would expect to be able to set a long route to any highlighted signal - these must be some rules to decide which signals to highlight, so it would seem strange that the logic wouldn't match when you try to set the route. This is per real life where probing the interlocking for available routes just isn't viable. As for why this branch is behaving like this is something that's being looked at. Mantis 38582 for the long routes (logged under Moss Vale but is probably going to be moved to core code); Mantis 36488 for the red exit arrows not appearing for stacked routes (believed to have been broken at the same time).
