As the Title says. When I click on the "Latest Post" button I just get a list of pages, not the latest post. I therefore have to click on the last page in the list to see the most recent posts. This never used to happen. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |

If you mean when clicking on a thread shown in the latest post section and it takes you to the first post then this has always happened for me. I don't see it an issue having to click on the page number at the top or the 2 >> button.

This happens for me when going directly to the thread from the “Latest Posts” list on the homepage. It doesn’t always show a blank page, it it often does. Methinks there’s some logic error when working out which position in the thread to start displaying from when there are a lot of posts in the thread, I suspect it’s dividing the latest sequence id in the thread by 25 and getting the wrong start position because it’s included some deleted posts when doing the math but not when enumerating the table of posts in the thread. Might be useful to have a screenshot in cases like this: This is the URL of that page: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/43347?postId=151882 (Formerly known as manadude2) Last edited: 18/05/2023 at 14:27 by MrSuttonmann Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Jan |

Perhaps a new poster has put up a message so that they can obtain access, but it is hidden until it has been accepted by the moderators - so the forum software knows that it is there and is trying to take you to it but cannot access it until it is "unhidden" by the mods.

MrSuttonmann's screenshot above shows exactly what I've been seeing when clicking on the "Latest Post" button. Looks like I didn't explain the problem clearly. Having said that, I've just clicked on the said button again and actually got Postal's post which was the latest post. Maybe what Postal says is the reason. I don't know. 1. You've probably clicked on this thread. 2. We are aware of this issue with the introductions thread and it's being looked into. Ta Craig How to report an issue: www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:reportanissue Last edited: 18/05/2023 at 22:00 by Hap Reason: None given Log in to reply |
