I've got a train waiting to enter the siding and the GF is free. I have the GF menu open, with the king lever pulled. When I pull the points lever, the lever moves, but the points do not move. I can pull the UP GPL signal lever, which turns the stem white, but doesn't clear the signal. Tried on 80's and 2000 eras. 3016 Main can also be checked, which goes yellow, but the route that goes white are the track circuits beside 5 and 7.

I'm puzzled too. Is the train actually parked right up to the GPL (3012)?

I note that "Siding Shunt Signal" can be signalled even with points lever 3 normal, which seems odd.

Thanks
Jamie

From the manual

The GF requires the emergency replacement switches on signals 1 and 5 to be operated. There is a 120s delay between granting the release and being able to operate the frame.

The switch on signal 5 should be operated as soon as a train for the sidings enters the simulation. When the train stops at signal 5, operate the replacement on signal 1 and release the frame. After 120s, click the 'signal 5' tick box, which will clear the subsidiary on signal 5 and allow the train to proceed over the AHB. The points can then be operated, along with lever 2.

Trains exiting the siding must be signalled using the 'Siding Main Signal' tick box, which will clear the signal at the exit of the sidings. The 'Siding Shunt Signal' is used only for movements into the headshunt, i.e. with the points in the normal position.
I suspect the check box controls for the signals are wrong though and some slight detail in manual missing. It is possible to get all the required to pull off though, and just remember that the crossing needs to lower again too, so that will take a bit of time before the signal clears.

Will look into it further soon.
Cheers
Craig

Thanks Craig. I didn't spot from the diagram there was a headshunt, I mistakenly saw that as a trap.

Set the ERs on sigs 1 & 5, release the GF, pull the levers King 1, points 3, signal 2 (for 3012) and wait for the AHB to lower and clear the signal.

The GF siding track is actually a RR loop/'exchange sdg', the actual depot is reached via the stub line using the siding shunt signal with the points normal.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

3012 will clear, after the crossing lowers, except that while the interlocking thinks the points are reversed, they don't actually reverse, and thus the train proceeds down the Up line

This is prototypical. The train does go into the sidings. You'll see that the Track circuits will eventually clear out on the Up.
