Is there a way to just display a "panel" or work station within a Sim ? My latest acquisition is Edinburgh. Even with ARS on I'm kept really busy. This sounds daft but in other Sims (Swindon for example) you get to "know" a train. You can follow it's progress and look after it. With Edinburgh I'm so busy scrolling and answering calls that 2G17 is nothing more than a code that needs to be looked at for a second and then forgotten about. Ideally I'd like to focus on one work station - let's say the Fife one and not have to worry about phone calls from the Dunbar section. Is there a way to just display/load one work station ? Depending on your set up (One or two screen, or higher resolution) you can open multiple windows focussed on different locations. I tend to find that handy for things like LCs or particularly tucked away junctions/branches

It's worth noting that Edinburgh sim is provided with ARS and TORR. Which once activated when opening the sim, you can then turn it off on the panels that you want to manage yourself. The only thing I keep an eye on most of the time is the CCTV crossing at St Germains, which I have in a little window to the side with enough track either side showing approaching trains. You could perhaps "slow down" the simulation, but maybe you've already done that? As far as I know, there is no option in any of the simulations that you have, where you can just select one of the work stations. Log in to reply |
