Afternoon, Whilst doing some testing on a York Winter 1999 Timetable that I have written. I have come across a strange issue when a train is brought to stand at GW 1831 Signal on the Sherburn Lines (Booked or just regulated to allow other trains to pass). The Driver comes on the telephone asking for "Permission to Proceed" once GW 1831 signal is cleared and the train begins to reverse. Only way to stop this is manually reverse the train. The same also occurs when running round trains in the down loop via GW 5919 signal the loco stops and then runs off towards M 702 or GW 1818 Signals again the only way to stop this is to manually reverse the loco back onto the train. Any help is appreciated Thanks, Zero Delta Zero Seven Log in to reply |

There's a few potential causes - have you got a save we can examine to help narrow it down?

I've proposed removing the requirement for GW Jn, but that may change timetabling requirements for those run rounds slightly. For your first paragraph – I've run single train test timetables through the area with no issue, whether holding them at 1831 or not. Without the replication of your exact circumstances provided by a save game, and the ability to apply diagnosis tools direct to that save game, there is nothing further I can offer in support. At my end everything is working as I'd expect and I cannot reproduce the issue you are experiencing unfortunately. Last edited: 28/09/2023 at 17:33 by JamesN Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Take the save when you have a 'unpause and hands off it does it from here' situation. I guess when the train is approaching the red. Log in to reply |

You could also get to the point just before the issue arises, then clear the timetable (Timetable-> Clear in the hamburger menu), then save the game and upload it. Anyone looking at the save will only be able to see the trains already in the sim and not the full timetable. Note that you will have to go back to a save made before the timetable was cleared if you wish to continue that particular run of the TT.
