This may be expected behaviour but I'm reporting it anyway.

Kirton Lane crossing hasn't risen even though it's in auto and the track is showing as unoccupied.

🤔

I think it's correct because of your TCF and the lack of a normal clearing sequence of the route. I have asked the question to the Dev. May be a day or so for a solid reply. I'll hold off putting it on Mantis until there's a bit more of a clear understanding.

You must not raise the barriers unless:
•any approaching train has passed clear of the crossing
•the protecting signals are at danger or the routes are closed
•no route has been set over the crossing.

You must place the auto-raise switch (if provided) in the 'manual' position before you press the crossing-clear button if any of the following applies.
•You need to clear a signal or issue an MA for a second train on the same or another line immediately after the first train has reached the crossing.
•You are to authorise a driver to pass a signal protecting the crossing at danger or authorise a driver to pass an end of authority (EoA) without an MA.
•The barriers have failed in the lowered position and a train is to pass over the crossing.

You must also carry out this regulation if any of the following types of movement is to pass over the crossing.
•A trolley, or any vehicle that cannot be relied upon to operate track circuits.
•A shunting movement.
•An unsignalled movement, or any movement for which the auto-raise facility does not apply.

Your screen grab shows an occupied TC on the Down Line at Kirton Lane junction. This is within the section from the last signal protecting the crossing (D629) so the logic governing the operation of the LC must assume that a train is approaching. That the TC over the crossing is not occupied is a bit of a red herring.

AFTER speaking to the dev, this is protypical behaviour. Your TCf affects the operation of the crossing.

Had a feeling that was the case.

And that of course is all total rubbish as I was looking at Ashfield Road LC not Kirton Lane. Sorry for the bum steer.

However, your screen grab shows the crossing as in the RAI position so what information have you used to determine that the crossing hasn't risen?

You have made a good point.
I'll have to go back to an earlier save to see what's happened.

The news isn't good. In the earlier save that I tried (05:40) the problem didn't replicate so I'm now at a loss as to why it appeared to be a problem in the first place.

Is it possible that I might have 'talked' a train over the crossing and track circuit and that the crossing was then reset, if you see what I mean.
If not, then I don't know what happened.

Sorry if I've wasted peoples time. 🤷‍♂️
